Saz the Palestinian Rapper for Change

Saz the Palestinian Rapper for Change

The Rapper, Sameh Zakut has been a participant of Open House since the age of eleven. He took part in our summer camps, sleep away camps, Leadership Training and the 2002 youth delegation to the USA. Today Sameh is a rising Rap singer and performs in Israel and abroad. He is continuing his musical education in the Itar School of Music, which takes place at Open House.

At the age of 18, Jewish young people normally go to the army while the Arabs do not. {Most Open House Arab participants continue with higher education.}

In this clip, 5 people are gathered at Open House yard, Sameh Zakut, a Muslim, Gloria Boursheh, a Christian, Gil Cohen and Michal Ben Oved, who are both before conscription to the Israeli Army. Rachel Zini is facilitating their painful dialogue.

The four young people have known each other for many years through Open House and have all participated in a common delegation of Arabs and Jews to the USA in 2002.

Will this point in time be the parting of their ways?
